Addressing the implementation of the Solomon Islands new e-Visa system, Tourism Solomons acknowledges the Solomon Islands Government’s move toward a modernised, digital visa system and fully recognises the long-term benefits this transition is intended to deliver for travellers, industry partners, and border management.
At the same time, the national tourist office is aware that the system is still in its early stages and that a number of practical details are yet to be clarified by the Immigration Department.
This has created understandable uncertainty for travellers, airlines, and tourism partners.
Tourism Solomons is actively seeking clarification on several components of the new process to ensure it can provide accurate, consistent guidance to all visitors.
As soon as these details are confirmed, Tourism Solomons will communicate these immediately across its channels and directly to its industry stakeholders.
