Trevor Manemahaga sworn in as new Minister for Commerce in latest GNUT reshuffle to boost leadership and service delivery.

Trevor Manemahaga was officially sworn in today at Government House as the new Minister for Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration, completing the latest phase of the ministerial reshuffle under the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT).
The oath of office was administered by the Governor-General, His Excellency Sir Reverend David Tiva Kapu.
Manemahaga previously served as Minister for Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology. His reassignment is part of a recent reshuffle aimed at strengthening leadership and improving service delivery across key government sectors.
Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele congratulated Manemahaga on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the ministry effectively.
With this appointment, the updated ministerial assignments under the recent reshuffle are as follows:
- Trevor Manemahaga, MP for Gao/Bugotu – Minister for Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration
- Lency Vokia, MP for North East Guadalcanal – Minister for Lands, Housing and Survey
- Polycarp Paea, MP for Malaita Outer Islands – Minister for Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology
These changes reflect the GNUT government’s commitment to aligning capable leadership with national development priorities to support progress and stability in Solomon Islands.
