Ten Sunday school teachers graduate from intensive Malaita training to mentor youth in faith and positive behavior
Ten Sunday school teachers from the Gwaifai West Kwarae Association 4 South Evangelist Church have graduated from a three-day intensive training program designed to mentor the next generation.
The ‘Super Seminar’, which concluded today in Malaita Province, was facilitated by James Aralolu, the Provincial Director of Child Evangelical. The program aimed to equip educators with the skills to help children navigate modern social pressures and maintain positive behavior within their families and communities.
Mr Aralolu said the training was a response to the increasing influence of “social technology” and modern lifestyles, which he believes can distract young people from their responsibilities.
Focus on development and faith
The curriculum was divided into two key pillars. The first focused on spiritual growth, specifically helping children build a relationship with Christ. The second pillar addressed the practicalities of child development, focusing on behavior and maturation.
Mr Aralolu said he was confident the group would now take these lessons back to their local congregations.
“The participants will apply what they learned and make a significant positive impact on the lives of children in the Gwaifai West Kwarae Association,” he said.

The ten teachers are now expected to lead new Sunday school sessions in their local churches, sharing the knowledge gained from the seminar with their students.
