Pacific Agenda Summit concludes in Honolulu, boosting US-Pacific investment and security ties.
Friday 27 February 2026 – The Pacific Agenda: Investment, Security and Shared Prosperity Summit concluded Tuesday 24 February 2026 in Honolulu (Wednesday 25 February Solomon Islands time), advancing Pacific-United States investment and security cooperation.
Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele attended the two-day Summit at the East-West Center in his dual capacity as Solomon Islands Prime Minister and Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum.
The Solomon Islands delegation included the Minister for Finance and Treasury Rexson Ramofafia, the Minister for National Planning and Development Coordination, Trevor Manemahaga and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Peter Shanel Agovaka.
On the margins of the Summit, Prime Minister Manele and delegation ministers held a number of bilateral meetings with partners to progress cooperation in development financing, trade and investment, and institutional partnerships aligned with national priorities.
The Prime Minister is expected to return to Solomon Islands over the weekend.
