OUR Party rejects claims by Alfred Sasako, affirms support for GNUT and coalition unity with SIPFP and Kadere Party.

OUR Party has issued a strong statement backing the Solomon Islands People First Party (SIPFP) and rejecting allegations made by Alfred Sasako in the Solomon Star on July 16, 2025. Sasako’s article, “Third Wave Remains Alive,” is described by OUR Party as political gossip posing as journalism intended to sow confusion and distrust among Coalition partners.
OUR Party affirms its support for its wing leader, Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele, and the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT). The party says it remains committed to political stability and a shared vision for a united Solomon Islands.
While recognizing the existence of inter-party differences, OUR Party emphasizes its ability to collaborate with the People’s First Party and Kadere Party toward stability, governance, and development. It reports that Coalition members continue to meet regularly to align on national priorities and deliver results.
OUR Party warns the public to be cautious of media-based misinformation promoted by individuals with vested interests. The party states it “remains resolute in its dedication to serve the people through responsible leadership and unity within GNUT” and stands with SIPFP in contesting Sasako’s claims.
Additionally, OUR Party welcomes two new Members of Parliament who have recently joined the party.
