Time might be running out for the Honiara City Council to build new public toilets in time for the Pacific Games. City Clerk Justus Deni in the weekly Radio Talk Back Show says the Honiara City Council has a proposed list of identified locations for public toilets.
“Time may not be on our side but we are hoping that they will build the toilets and help with public toilet facilities closer to the sports city at Ranadi and in Point Cruz ”, Deni said.
He said currently the Council is working on contracts for the use of public toilets already completed at the museum area and at the multipurpose area.
The government is anticipating an influx of 5000 visitors during the Pacific games period from November to December this year.
