Busy Signal concert draws 50,000 in Honiara as SI Group JSC gains public support for ethical, long-term investment.

The successful hosting of the Busy Signal concert on Saturday, 12th July 2025, drew an estimated crowd of over 50,000 people at DC Park. The event, funded and organized by Solution International Joint Stock Company (SI Group JSC) of Vietnam, is being hailed as a major entertainment milestone for the Solomon Islands.
Held in an atmosphere of peace and celebration, the concert was offered free to the public and featured international-standard production. It marked SI Group JSC’s first major public engagement in the Solomon Islands and was organized in collaboration with local partners.
The turnout has been seen by organizers as a strong sign of public support for foreign investment that prioritizes community benefit and transparency.
Local representative of SI Group JSC, Mr. McFaddean Aoraunisaka, said the positive response sends a powerful message:
“Solomon Islands cannot develop with negative vibration. We need positive vibration to move forward. Bad vibe is bad. Good vibe is what the soul, the land, and the nation wants. This is a positive vibration construct. And SI Group JSC is a vessel of that positivity.”
He added:
“These few negative voices are not only embarrassing themselves, they are hurting the reputation of Solomon Islands. They are damaging investor confidence. They are standing in the way of our collective aspiration for economic transformation. What they are doing is not critique—it is sabotage.”
According to SI Group JSC, the concert was not a standalone event, but part of a broader effort to demonstrate a long-term commitment to national development.
On Monday, 15th July, SI Group’s Chairman, Mr. Phan Nhat Minh, and the Chairman of Vietnamese agribusiness GrowMax met with the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources, Bradley Tovosia, to explore future collaboration.
Following the meeting, the Minister stated:
“This is the type of investment I have been looking for throughout my political life. We must not let this opportunity pass us. We must embrace it. The critics are few. The supporters are many.”
GrowMax is expected to become the first anchor investor under SI Group’s Global Business Mobilization model, with a focus on shrimp farming for export, local processing, skills transfer, and long-term aquaculture industry development.
The delegation also held technical consultations with the Ministry’s Aquaculture Division. Initial feedback from staff was reportedly positive, and both parties expressed interest in building a strong, transparent partnership.
Mr. Aoraunisaka emphasized that SI Group JSC is committed to open and inclusive investment:
“Let us move forward as a country. Let us not listen to the noise of the few who benefit from confusion and stagnation. Let us tune our national frequency to good vibes. Because it is good vibes that build bridges, attract opportunities, and uplift a nation.”
SI Group JSC’s local office is encouraging Solomon Islanders to keep an open mind and recognize development partners who bring long-term vision, ethical standards, and respect for local communities.
