Big Mountain returns for Honiara’s New Year’s Eve countdown, joined by local bands and performances at Heritage Park Hotel.
Big Mountain, the popular reggae band, will return to the Solomon Islands tomorrow, Saturday, December 28th, ahead of their performance for the New Year’s Eve countdown at Heritage Park Hotel. This marks the band’s third visit to the country, following previous performances in 2016 and 2018.
Heritage Park Hotel’s General Manager, Sanjay Bhargava, confirmed that preparations are on track for the event, which will take place at the hotel’s car park venue on December 31st. The event is being hosted in partnership with Solomon Breweries. Local bands such as One Tox, DMP and others will also perform during the New Year’s celebration.
Tickets for the event are currently available at Heritage Park Hotel, with VIP tickets priced at $300 and general tickets at $150. Bhargava expressed hope for favorable weather conditions for the event.
Honiara partygoers will have multiple options for ringing in the New Year. While Heritage Park Hotel offers a line-up featuring Big Mountain, the Pacific Crown Hotel will also host a celebration with popular local acts including Jahboy, Shrazy, Ramo, Baleh, Souljay, Buad, Sean Rii /Dezine. Pacific Crown Hotel has promised a continuous music segment throughout the night.
With both venues offering entertainment from local and international musicians, Honiara is in for a vibrant celebration as the country prepares to usher in 2025.
