MIXED results for the national junior U16 tennis team competing in the 2025 Pacific Oceania Junior Cup (POJC) tournament in Fiji.
Match day 6 of the tournament on Tuesday ended with mixed results from the team.
The 12 & under boy and girls team managed to get the wins in their tie against Tonga and FSM while in the 16 & Under event, Junior Kennedy missed out on a place in the semi finals after losing his quarterfinal match against Fiji.
Pio and Jen on the other hand will be playing off for 9-16 place in their events, in match day 7 of the tournament.
Match day 7s actions will see Jane Tahunipue taking on Rachael San Augustine while John Taufunu Kennedy will take on Lucas Palisse and Pio Ruhasia up against Samoa’s Seuiama Penn.
The national U12 boys and girls team on the other hand have completed their team events on Tuesday.
The U12 boys team finished 5th place behind Samoa, Vanuatu, PNG and American Samoa while the U12 girls team also secured a 5th spot finish in their campaign, finishing behind PNG, Samoa, Northern Marianas and American Samoa.
