Fuel prices in Honiara rise from May 1, 2026, as PAC introduces phased adjustments to manage increases and protect consumers.

HONIARA, Solomon Islands – The Price Advisory Committee [PAC] of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour has advised the next fuel price adjustment will come into effect on 1 May 2026. This increase was foreshadowed in the Government’s Press Release on 22nd April 2026 and further highlighted in the Prime Ministers Press Conference on 28 April 2026.
The PAC’s fuel price smoothing strategy will result in two fuel price adjustments in the month of May 2026, to ensure the magnitude of each price change is not too large – the first from 1st of May and the second in the second half of the month.
The new fuel prices which have now incorporated the fiscal measures approved by the government to take effect from 1st May 2026 are as follows.
