Australian High Commissioner Jeff Roach and Manasseh Sogavare reaffirm ties and development cooperation
His Excellency Jeff Roach, Australian High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands, today held a cordial and constructive meeting with Hon. Manasseh Sogavare, Leader of the Alternative Government, reaffirming the enduring and valued partnership that connects the two nations.
During his courtesy visit, High Commissioner Roach reflected on the strong and long-standing relationship between Australia and Solomon Islands. He highlighted Australia’s significant and ongoing investment in critical infrastructure projects that enhance connectivity, generate employment, and build vital skills across our provinces.
His Excellency Roach also conveyed profound appreciation for Hon. Sogavare’s leadership and resolve, which were central to Australia’s prioritization of key infrastructure support since 2018.
