Prime Minister Matthew Wale arrives in Fiji for the PIF Troika Meeting, bilateral talks and official state engagements
Prime Minister Matthew Wale has arrived in Suva, Fiji tonight to attend the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Troika Meeting.
The Prime Minister flew in from Nadi to Nausori to an official welcome, which he was accorded with a 50-man Guard of Honour.
Prime Minister Wale was recieved by the Fiji Foreign Minister Sakiasi Ditoka and senior government officials.
The Government of Fiji has elevated Prime Minister Wale’s visit to an official visit also as Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum.
Fiji will also accord Prime Minister Wale a prestigious traditional welcome ceremony.
The Prime Minister will also pay a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, at the State House tomorrow morning.
Prime Minister Wale will also hold bilateral talks with his Fijian counterpart, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka tomorrow.
The PIF Troika Meeting has commenced on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Wale is scheduled to return to Honiara on Friday, 3 July 2026.
