PM Matthew Wale and NZ Foreign Minister Winston Peters discuss cooperation and Pacific priorities
Prime Minister Matthew Wale was hosted to a working breakfast by New Zealand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rt. Hon. Winston Peters in Auckland this morning.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Prime Minister and the New Zealand Foreign Minister to discuss issues of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral cooperation and shared regional priorities.
Rt. Hon. Winston Peters welcomed the Prime Minister and emphasised the deep and longstanding relationship between Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
Prime Minister Wale reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between the two countries and expressed appreciation for New Zealand’s continued engagement in the Pacific.
The meeting sets a positive tone ahead of Prime Minister Wale’s bilateral meeting with his New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon, scheduled for this evening.
