Santa Cruz Airport flights suspended from July 14 to Aug 10 for runway upgrades; Lomlom Airport to serve as alternative.

Solomon Airlines wishes to inform the travelling public that due to airport restrictions, all flights to and from Santa Cruz Airport will be suspended from 14 July to 10 August 2025.
This suspension is necessary to allow for critical runway extension and sealing works at Santa Cruz Airport by the contractor. During this period, Lomlom Airport will serve as the alternative option for air travel to Temotu Province.
Solomon Airlines acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates customers’ understanding. The runway improvements will enable the safe resumption of flights with the Dash 8 aircraft from 10 August 2025—two months earlier than originally scheduled.
This accelerated timeline is expected to enhance connectivity to Santa Cruz and improve capacity for both passenger and cargo services.
