Solomon Airlines announces CEO transition as Sean Teo steps down; interim team appointed to ensure smooth operations.
Solomon Airlines has announced a change in executive leadership, with the departure of Chief Executive Officer Sean Teo, effective immediately.
The Board of Directors expressed its appreciation to Mr. Teo for his service and leadership over the past 14 months. During his tenure, he supported the rollout of the airline’s 2024–2028 strategic plan, contributed to the expansion of flight routes, oversaw major aircraft maintenance, and hosted the Association of South Pacific Airlines (ASPA) conference in Honiara.
An interim management team has been appointed to oversee operations during the leadership transition. The Board stated it expects to confirm a new CEO in the coming months.
In a statement, Solomon Airlines reaffirmed its commitment to its strategic goals and maintaining service standards, acknowledging the ongoing challenges within the aviation sector. The airline emphasized the continued support of its stakeholders, staff, and customers as integral to its operations.
