Prime Minister Matthew Wale travels to Fiji for the Pacific Islands Forum Troika Meeting and official bilateral talks
Prime Minister Matthew Wale will depart tomorrow, Tuesday 30 June 2026 to Suva, Fiji to attend the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Troika Meeting.
The Government of Fiji has elevated the visit to an official visit in recognition of Prime Minister Wale’s role as Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum.
Prime Minister Wale is expected to arrive at Nausori Airport tomorrow evening, where he will be received with a 50-man Guard of Honour.
Fiji will also accord Prime Minister Wale a prestigious traditional welcome ceremony.
The Prime Minister will also pay a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, at the State House.
Prime Minister Wale will also hold bilateral talks with his Fijian counterpart, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
The PIF Troika Meeting will start on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Wale is scheduled to return to Honiara on Friday, 3 July 2026.
