High Court issues interim orders on the Point Cruz/Firehouse Clothing Market in case involving KCM Properties and Honiara City Council
The High Court of Solomon Islands on Friday, 5 December 2025, granted interim orders in favour of KCM Properties Limited in proceedings against the Honiara City Council regarding the Point Cruz / Firehouse Clothing Market on Parcel No. 191-023-172.
The interim orders, issued without prejudice to the final determination of the matter, are intended to maintain the current position on the site while the Court considers the legal issues before it.
As the proceedings are ongoing, KCM will not comment on the substantive matters currently before the Court. All parties, including relevant authorities, are encouraged to comply with the orders and allow the process to continue.
KCM notes the operational needs of the stallholders who use the Point Cruz market. The company will continue to act in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in relation to activities on the land.
Members of the public and stallholders are advised to follow the directions of law-enforcement agencies and await further instructions from the Court. Any subsequent updates will be provided through KCM’s legal representatives, BETS Legal Services.
